UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the help deciding. Blue was a great choice.

UPDATE II: This was an interesting exercise. Without exception, men voted for the black and women voted for the blue. I think it’s because men are very “matchy” – I was wearing black so black shoes go with it. All feedback I got from women said blue was a better precisely because it wasn’t “matchy” with the black dress. Other comments in favor of blue were also because it was a fabulous a) pair of shoes b) color c) great purse d) all of the above.

I’ll probably use this method to get feedback to make decisions in the future. What is challenging, however, is that feedback was provided across a million different things – on twitter, over the phone, in person, via email and comments on flickr. It’s not a bad thing in itself, but speaks volumes to how pervasive these communication methods are.
